Novasure Endometrial Ablation
Heavy menstrual bleeding is a bothersome problem for many women, and has often led to the need for a hysterectomy. However, in recent years the endometrial ablation procedure has often been used to solve the problem and has eliminated the need for many hysterectomies. This procedure is usually done in the familiar setting of our office without the need for anesthesia in the operating room. Patients are kept comfortable with an injection of pain medication and local anesthesia. Novasure procedures are usually done on Fridays, with patients returning to work on the following Monday.
